Wait, there are people who don't know of LMC? People who own Chevy trucks even? HOW

It seems that I'm the only person north of the border to know about them for their truck parts. I really hope they do G-bodies next, although that probably won't happen any time soon.

These guys have got everything. You can have a truck shipped in pieces to your door.

no sport tracs!

I can vouch that there are a lot of old school rednecks who do not know about or use the internet who have no idea LMC exists. Case and point: my parent's neighbor. Hes got an old Ford F350 with a 6.9L diesel that he is trying to keep on the road, and he keeps complaining to my dad about parts availability. My dad has mentioned LMC trucks multiple times, and he completely dismisses it because he has no interest in using the internet.

They're paired with Victoria British, which does Triumph and MG stuff, and Black Dragon, which does Datsun Z stuff. I knew about VB, that's been a thing for ages, but the ricey stuff is new to me.

Black Dragon is awesome. It's part of the reason why I was looking at an RX-7 as my first car (you know how that ended).

Counterpoint - I know a pretty good number of rednecks who have been using LMC trucks for ages, without the internet being involved at all. That contingent may be a regional thing, though - suppliers like that being known through word of mouth is touch and go. Just like Summit Racing and JC Whitney - catalog sales *can* be a big thing, but it depends.

Sport Tracs are Explorer Utes. They're not quite truck-like enough to be a truck, and not SUV-like enough to be an SUV.

And they can supply you with a brand new 2011 Ranger in kit form!

pretty much any American truck save the 1989-1995 Dodge Dakota :(

Yeah, that kind-of sucks.

I agree with you, it could be a regional or word of mouth thing. I had no idea it existed until I started seeing ads for them a few years ago on PowerBlock TV and such.

I only know about the connection because for a while we were getting catalogs for both LMC and Victoria British at my house, and I noted a *suspicious* similarity between their catalogs... We were getting both because of working with friends/acquaintance's TR6s and the family Suburban.

They also own Victoria British. I spent a lot of money with them when restoring the MGB.

How is their quality?

My only complaint was a door skin that I had replaced on the drivers door. The trim did not line up with the fender but was OK in the rear. But I kinda suspect that the guy who put it on for me was the problem. Everything else was great. The upholstery and top kits are amazing quality. Fit is good on everything I bought.

That's fantastic news!

I am aware of LMC truck, I have their current catalog somewhere

Aaaand... I guess Jeeps don't count as American trucks.
![]() 03/23/2015 at 15:13 |

Jeeps are a whole other thing. They can only be classified as Jeeps.

I can't believe you replied!

Lol, love that gif. Am I some sort of Oppo Celebrity or something?
![]() 03/23/2015 at 15:18 |

Kind-of. I think you're the most famous Ford Ranger owner......In the world.

Those guys are the shit. My buddy who is restoring a '77 F100 400/4 speed 4x4 calls them all the time, and I'll be picking up a bunch of little stuff for my '95 F150.
